Bo's other front tooth came out today. Uhhhhh..... He looks so different now. I already miss his cute little baby teeth. I better get used to him looking like a goofball for the next couple of years, until he grows into those ginormous adult teeth. I can already see them sprouting through his gums. FYI, he's not really cross-eyed. He's just being his usual "funny" self.

Here is a more normal picture of the new Bo. I guess he's still a cute kid.

Say please

Lily's "please" face
Photobucket
We've been trying to teach Miss Lily some manners lately. So, instead of ordering us around all the time and demanding everything she wants, we've been asking her to at least add a "please" first. For some reason, she doesn't even try to say please, she just puckers up her lips instead. It's adorable, of course, and we hope she does it for a long time. It's always hard not to give her a big kiss every time she says "please" though.

And yes, that's a bandaid on her chin. I know it looks goofy. Lily fell off a chair at the pool the other day and bonked it. It could have been much worse. She only cried about it for a minute. She's one tough cookie. Much tougher than her brothers have ever been. Way to go Lil!

One down...

Bo came running into my bedroom first thing in the morning yesterday to show me that one of his teeth fell out while he was wiggling it with his tongue. He was so excited and couldn't stop looking at himself in the mirror. He still can't get over how different he looks, and sounds when he talks without his tooth. I can't either. I am kind of sad about it. He's growing up too fast.

So, Bo was really excited to go to bed last and put his tooth under his pillow, it was like Christmas for him. He couldn't wait to see how much the tooth fairy would bring.

Well, I got a rude awakening this morning when a crying little boy came in my room to tell me that the tooth fairy didn't come because his tooth was still there and there was no money. "AHHHHH, CRAP!!!" is what I was thinking in my head. I tried the calm him down and tell him that she must have been super busy and would probably come tonight. He was still so disappointed. Mason gave me a knowing look, then went into their room and came back a few minutes later with a dollar. He said he found it behind the bed and it must have fallen back there during the night. (Mason is such a good big brother.) Bo still wasn't convinced though, because the tooth was still there. So, I told Mason to put his dollar back in his wallet and thanked him for being so kind. Then told Bo that I was SURE the tooth fairy would be here tonight and might even leave him more money because he had to wait so long. He was sad for a couple hours, but is now really excited to see if she'll bring him even more. What the heck was the tooth fairy thinking?

Bo's baby teeth

Bo informed me a few days ago that his two front teeth were getting pretty loose. That makes me so sad. I'm really not ready for his cute smile to change. Those big kid teeth really make a difference in the way a kid looks. Bo's got such nice baby teeth too. I LOVE his smile. I DO have tons of picture of Bo and his sweet smile already. But, I had to get just a few more before the big change. He's really been working on getting them out too. He says he needs money. The tooth fairy must be loaded these days because Bo is expecting no less then $5 per tooth. Yikes, the tooth fairy better run to the bank to get some crisp bills.

Summer......finally

We had such a yucky spring. It was cold and rainy almost all of April and May. The 1st couple weeks of June weren't that warm either. Well,it's finally warmed up enough to go swimming and to just enjoy being outside. Bo has always been a bit afraid of water, so we were really hoping that Lily would really like swimming from the get-go. No such luck. She cried when Ross 1st got in the pool with her. We let her kind of get used to being around the pool and tried it again a while later. She ended up liking it okay. She was still pretty cautious though. We just need to keep taking her swimming, and she'll hopefully learn to love it.

Uncle Russ got a cool gas saving bike last week. As you can imagine, it was a huge hit with the kids. Tara took them for a couple rides. They LOVED it! They could've done it all night.

Lily's new dress

Photobucket
I got this dress for Lily in Chinatown in New York. I couldn't wait to see her in it. It fit her perfectly. I so wish I would've gotten a couple more in bigger sizes. Oh.....she is so much fun to dress. She's just like a little doll. Have I mentioned that I LOVE having a little girl? That goofy grin she's got goin on in the picture to the right is the smile she gives me when I tell her to smile.

Father's day

The kids are so lucky to have Ross as their father. He loves them so much and spends as much time as possible with them. I couldn't ask for a better father for my kids.
We had a fun Father's day this year. Ross got home from his golf trip just in time to celebrate with us. We went to the park with Ross' family 1st. I didn't get a lot of pictures there. I need to be taking more of the kids with their Farris cousins. I'll work on that this summer. After the park, we went to my parents house to celebrate with them. I should have gotten some pictures of all the kids with their Pop on Father's day. Oops. I don't know what I was thinking. I at least got a couple with Lily and Ross. He loves that little girl.

Ross might as well park himself there for the evening because Lily has discovered that she loves to "wee" (swing) and can't get enough of it.

Lily is 18 months today

In honor of Lily's half birthday, I thought I'd post of few of the cute things she's up to lately. She's growing up too fast. I want her to stay little forever.

1. She loves Nan's chickens and calls them, "bahk bahks".

2. She is saying about 100 words and will say a few new ones daily. She busted out with "gof cart" yesterday when she wanted to ride the golf cart to see Nan's horses.

3. Lily loves to wrap her babies. She totes them around and gives them kisses on the head. She's such a good mommy. I've caught her nursing them before too.

4. She just discovered she likes to swing. She calls it, "wee". She was afraid to swing until about a month ago. Now she can't get enough of it.

5. She loves the song 'The sweet escape' by Gwen Stefani and wants to hear it over and over and over again. She'll dance like crazy in her carseat whenever it comes on.

Here are some of the many pictures from our New York trip. There are way too many to post them all. But, here are some that remind me of the fun we had.

Here we are at Carmines. It was a really tasty Italian resturaunt near Time square. It was especially delicious for me because I haven't eaten any gluten for 6 months. I thought I had a gluten intolerance, so I haven't had bread, pasta, and the million other things that contain wheat and/or gluten. Those of you with celiac can feel my pain. Anyways, I was so sick of not being able to eat anything good on our trip, that I decided to eat some bread, some pasta and to top it off with tiramisu. I thought I'd be in for a serious stomach ache. But, nope. I felt fine. So, I've been eating all the gluten I want lately and still nothing. I must say, the food at carmines was the best I've ever tasted though.

My New York trip

Well, I just got back from a week in New York. I went with Mom, Steph, Noelle, Tara and Marlee. We had a lot of fun. We ate a lot of good food, saw tons of cool sites, walked about 100 miles (at least), got only a little bit of sleep and spotted lots of celebrities. New York had record highs, and it was SOOO hot and humid. The last couple days of our trip were in the mid 80's though. So at least we got some good weather.

I missed my family so much while I was gone. I was so excited to come home and see them. Ross and the boys were happy to see me, but Lily sure wasn't. She just stared at me like I was a stranger. She cried when I tried to hold her. She wanted nothing to do with me for a couple hours. It hurt me so much. I cried a few times yesterday. I know she still loves me and is just confused, but it stills hurts. After her nap, she was still reserved, but would let me hold her and give her kisses. Today, she's been staring at me a lot. I think she trying to figure it all out.

So, I've got loads of pictures to edit. It'll take me a while because I'm pretty busy this week. But I'll post plenty more soon. I can't decide which ones to post on my family blog or my photo blog, so check with both. Here are a couple of the few I've edited so far.

Bo's new mp3 player

I got Bo an mp3 player while I was in New York. He LOVES it! However, he doesn't realize how off key and how loud he sings when he's got his headphones on. It's hilarious. He's been walking around the house all day singing. It's very reminiscent of the American idol tryouts. The bad ones. Poor guy. He doesn't sound half that bad without the headphones on though.

Bo's kindergarten program

Bo graduated from kindergarten today. It's hard to believe the school year is over. It feels like it just began. Bo has learned so much this year because of his wonderful teacher. We'll miss her so much. The kids put on a program at school today. It was super cute and Bo really got into it. Below are a couple of video clips of the program. Bo is the one at the top and to the left.
