Another outing..........

This time we went to downtown Boise to find some fun locations. We decided to bring our older kids this time. The toddlers were such a handful and a bit uncooperative the last time we went out. I thought, surely Bo will be easier then Lily was, right? He IS 6 years old. Well, Allison's kids were great. So were Audrey's and Emily's boys. Mine.......not so much. I know he had fun, but it was like pulling teeth (and he's got some big teeth) to get him to look pleasant. I didn't necessarily want him to smile, but it drives me nuts when he looks like he's in pain. Most of the pictures I got that night look like he's passing a kidney stone. Nice. I did borrow Allison's 70-200 lens for these though, (which I'm in love with) so I could stand pretty far back and get some natural happy faces without Bo being aware I was around. That lens just jumped to the top of my very long list of wants. Okay, enough boring chit chat.......on to the pictures.

Here's one of all of our models just before we headed off to Maggie Moo's for some ice cream. Oh, I suppose they earned it. Can you tell that some of the boys have a tiny crush on Grace? Bo talked about her for the next week. We might have a problem with that one. He's a little girl crazy!

Thanks for the fun night. I can't wait until next time!

The Mower clan

I took these of Noelle, Russ & Josie a couple weeks ago and finally got some time this morning to edit them. I tried to do it last night and fell asleep at the computer. I really need to be getting to bed earlier. But, I'm going to Pocatello tomorrow to take pictures of Steph's new baby Lincoln, and I am really trying to catch on my editing before I go. Okay, on to the pictures............

Last of the hot days

I'm kind of sad that summer is over and it's going to start cooling down here soon. It's been such a warm September. Hopefully that means we'll have a mild winter. I hate the cold. So, my new telephoto lens came the other day while the kids were playing outside, so I had the perfect opportunity to test it out. I think I'm gonna like it. I can't wait to take it to the boys' football games on Saturday!

Yowza!!! Bo's got some interesting looking teeth at the moment.

Mason was timing the neighborhood kids with his stopwatch while they raced. Like father like son.

This is a little neighbor girl. I was grateful to have a willing subject for a change. Isn't she a doll!

Just one

I posted of bunch of pictures from Lily's minishoot on my photo blog. But I just love this one of her and had to post it on both blogs. She was not the most cooperative little girl that night. At 20 months, running around and discovering is much more fun then posing for her mama with a camera. I get that, and I don't blame her. I just always feel lucky when I manage to get at least one shot I love.

The newest member of the family.....

I spent the other day with Noelle and Josie taking lots and lots of pictures. Josie was such a good girl and slept almost the whole time (that hardly ever happens ya know!) She is such a doll. Noelle, thank you for letting me play with that sweet baby of yours.

The many faces of Miss Lily

So, I did Lily's hair this morning and usually when I put it in two buns, I pull her bangs into the rubber bands. Well, today I wondered what it would look like if I left her bangs out. Well, as you can see, I loved it. So, you guessed ...........another photoshoot. Poor Lily. I haven't even gone through the pictures I took of her at last night's photoshoot and she'd already had another one. She'll thank me one day for the plethora of pictures she's gonna have. To get all the funny faces, I stuck her on top of our kitchen table. We've got a mirror that hangs over the table and she could see her cute self. Well, she loves to make faces at herself in the mirror. So, this is what we ended up with.

Too cute

I'm taking Lil out for a little photo shoot tomorrow. So, I was trying on some clothes on her to figure out how I'll dress her up. She just looked too cute. I asked her if I could get my camera out because she looked so cute and she replied with her usual whispered, "yeah." I can't wait to see what we end up with at tomorrow's shoot!

I told her to look for the horsey hiding in the lens. She was really concentrating on seeing that horse, although she was a bit skeptical. But oh, how she loves horses.

Still trying to find that dang horsey.

Some more of Josie

Lily and I went to visit the Mower clan at the hospital today. Lil had fun holding her new baby cousin. She's going to love having a new baby around. I think we might need to watch her like a hawk around the baby though. She's not the most gentle little girl around. She loves her baby dolls, but is always throwing them and saying, "CATCH!" I would hate for her to think of Josie as one of her dolls. Yikes! Here are a few pictures I took at our visit today.

Introducing Josie Noelle

My sister Noelle, had her perfect little baby girl today. I was so excited when she let me come in and witness the birth. It was truly a miracle. It made me just the tiniest bit baby hungry too. Josie weighs 7 lbs. 1. oz and I think she was 19 1/2 inches long. She is a little doll. I can't wait to go visit her in the morning. Get used to seeing her sweet face, because I'll be posting lots and lots of pictures of her in the weeks to come. Congratulations Noelle and Russ. Thanks you so much for letting me enjoy her birth.
