a new 'do

I thought it would be fun to change up my look a little bit. I'm not brave enough to cut too much of my hair off. So Noelle came over and colored my hair dark brown today. I thought it would be a huge shock when I looked in the mirror because I've never hair very dark hair before. But I looked very familiar to myself. I think Noelle and I look a lot more alike now that our hair is the same color.

Lily didn't like it much. She told me she wanted my hair to be like hers again. That makes me feel bad :(

new props

I went to a local antique store yesterday and got myself some fun new props. I wanted to see how they'd photograph, so I set my new stuff up in the kitchen for a quick test. Stella kept crawling in and messing up my setups. She was having so much fun so I couldn't be too upset with her. I'm glad I finally decided to snap one of her. I just wish she was dressed cute. Oh well, she's still adorable!

us girls

I don't have many pictures of me with my kids because I'm always the one taking the pictures. So, it was so nice of my friend Audrey to come out with us a couple weeks ago and take these pictures of me with my two sweet daughters. I love them. Thank you!!! Oh, and my cousin Tina made the adorable skirt Lily is wearing. How cute is that!

wiggle worm

I decided to take a few pictures of Stella today since I haven't had an indoor shoot with her in a while. I set everything up, grabbed the camera and plopped her in a basket so she couldn't escape. Well, she proved to me that she can be contained no more. Once I sat her in that basket, she was immediately on her feet and trying to figure a way out. I gave up after a couple minutes and decided that I'm just gonna have to take what I can get from her for the next couple years. I'm at her mercy...

sisters

I so love that my girls have a sister. Having 5 sisters myself, I can't imagine NOT having a sister. So I feel very blessed that we have two boys and two girls. Lily and Stella already love each so much. I hope they will be best friends their whole lives.

We had a fun trip to a field of wildflowers last night with my good friend Audrey and her little girls. It was a little chilly, but so pretty. I love that I got a few pictures of Lily and Stella together. I think I might have a canvas printed for their bedroom. Lily is getting really fun to photograph lately. Ever since she turned 3, she's seemed more grown up and easier to reason with. The promise of krispy kreme doughnuts if she was good last night, I'm sure didn't hurt either.






















And a couple of poor Stella. I feel so bad looking at these pictures. She looks so tiny and sad. I so wanted to get one good picture of her with her purple dress in the wildflowers. Uhhhh...she just wasn't havin it. But how sweet is she?! Oh I want to squeeze that sweet little girl right now!

10 months old

Our little miss is 10 months old today. She has really turned into a handful this last month. She's still super sweet but boy, she lets you know when she's not happy. I'll be grateful when she done teething and is back to her sweeter, calmer self.

My friend Emily stopped by today with her new camera. We had fun testing out our different lenses on it. I love this one she took of Stella. It pretty much sums up Stella's attitude at 10 months old.


She's just like a puppy. She'll chew on anything.
