happy birthday Lily!!!

The most beautiful baby girl I'd ever seen came into this world 4 years ago today. She weighed 7 lbs. 4 oz. and was 20 3/4 inches long. Our lives have never been quite the same since.

Lily has been the most wonderful child. She's full of sunshine and light and everything that's good in this world. I feel so very blessed she calls me mom. She's grown a lot in the last 4 years. She now weighs 37 lbs. and is 40 3/4 inches tall. Crazy. Here is our beautiful 4 year old Lily...

18 months

The last year and a half has been so fun with Stella. She is probably the most active 18 month old we've had. She's always climbing the chairs to see what trouble she can get into on the kitchen table or getting into cupboards and drawers to pull everything out. She's one busy little girl. She makes life interesting around here. She is definately very loved though. She gets spoiled by her parents and her big brothers. Lily loves her lots too. But she can get on Lily's nerves a little. She's constantly getting into her coloring books or ruining her puzzles. That's what baby sisters do I guess. Even though Stella can bug Lily sometimes, they do have fun together. They play with their babies and their favorite thing to do is play hide-n-seek. I really hope those two are best friends when they grow up.

This past week we've all been paying close attention to all the things Stella can say. We were guessing she said around 15-20 words, but when we counted them all out, it was closer to 50 words. Well, some of the things she says aren't exactly WORDS. But we can understand her.

Here's the list: hi, bye, baby, Bo, Papa, Mama, Jesus, dah (dog), saaahee (sorry), no, yes, aaaaa (yeah), 'mon (come on), mo (more), poo poo, pee pee, bahbah (bottle), dink (drink), eeee (eat), hush, whoa, wow, cat, where doe? (where did it go?), ny ny (night night), toot, me, peeea (please), chee (cheese), owie, Nana, Rammy (Grammy), baaa (bath), canny (candy), bubbo (bubble), my (mine), no (snow), gone, boo, uh-oh, numma, haaah (hot), buhh (book), out sy (outside), bah (ball), cole (cold), aaahvie or aaahvoo (I love you), boo (boots), shoe, wah (want), Brrrr, Santa

snowday!!!

We got several inches of snow over night so all the schools were called OFF! Oh, the kids were so very happy. Mason & Bo worked on igloos while Lily had lots of fun jumping off the mounds of snow that Mason piled high for her. She's also discovered snow angels. So much fun! Bo was feeling a little sick so he spent a lot of the day inside. I didn't get any picture of him. But rest assured knowing that he'll be my main target the next time it snows.

Needless to say, all that fun wiped Lily out. Having fun can be hard work.

fixed

We found out Lily had a cavity in one of her molars probably 6 months ago. The big black hole in her tooth is what tipped me off. I took her to the dentist but she was too scared too even sit in the chair. Very annoying. Anyways, the Doc sent us home with some fluoride tablets and we've been trying to get Lily to agree to let the Dentist fix her tooth since. It's been a no go until her tooth started hurting her she finally decided she was brave enough to give it another shot. She got some nitrous which made her nice and relaxed. She kept saying, "Mom....Mom...I love you." It was too adorable. She ended up needing a pulpotomy which was a bummer, and I so wish I would've thought to take a picture of her black tooth with my macro lens before it was fixed. But she's good as new now and that's what matters. She fell asleep on the way home from her appointment and slept for several hours on the couch once we got home.
